FAB FAIL. So in a previous post, I mentioned that I had my eye on the above shoes from F21’s website. Good thing I didn’t impulsively buy them online! A couple days ago, I went to Americana at Brand’s huge XXI store in Glendale and saw them in person. Sadly, I was minorly disappointed. Overall, they didn’t look bad, but there were small things that bugged me. For one thing, the look and feel of the faux suede wasn’t what I expected. Second, though the fit was fine,  there were small kinks where the side cutouts are located. Maybe if my feet were just a tiny bit wider, the kinks wouldn’t have been a problem. Needless to say, it wasn’t a total failure. Next to the faux suede would-have-beens, I saw some kick-ass lace-up ankle boots (see below). Key word: KICK-ASS. OF COURSE I BOUGHT THEM! I wore them all day yesterday to break them in. I did a fair amount of walking and standing for 10 hours straight, but there was no fuss and no pain. High marks on the comfy scale. And BEYOND-AWESOME in general!

Love these! The soft wine color is so sophisticated & chic, along with the awesome design of the shoes.
I love zippers at the back, and I love the little peek-a-boo tip, to show off cute pedicured toes.
